Has anyone attended and took a speed reading seminar?
I went to a free seminar at ASU, which then they said that you need attened another one to fully learn how to speed read. The website is called effectivereading.com
I just wanted to know if anyone had ever done this or anything similar, and if did or didnt work.
I took some speed reading classes in school. I didn’t have much interest in it. It didn’t “teach” me much. Basically you get used to scanning your eyes down the center of the page, without moving them left to right. You need to practice at it a lot to get used to it.
Speed reading was a big fad maybe ten years ago, but I don’t know anybody today that does it. You just don’t retain nearly as much information or enjoy what you read when you do it.
