Is a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Online Course Design good?
I was wondering if you got a BA with an emphasis on helping instructors put their courses online a good degree? I am in a Liberal Arts degree program that has a certificate in online course design? Would this be a good career or do you suggest I get a MA In Special Education(my next passion). I could learn the Course Management Systems after getting my BA. Do I need an MA to survive in the job world? I was reading negative comments on this website about Liberal Arts Degrees but does an emphasis help getting a job?
An MA in Special Education will always be in demand and the highest paying public school teaching gig.
My personal opinion is that BA with online course design will not help you get a job doing that AT A COLLEGE – most professors do it themselves (once) or have grad student assistants do it. You can’t do much at the college/university level without a Masters or terminal degree (Ph.D. etc).
In the corporate world this would be likely use of the degree to convert corporate training materials to online format.
